What we collect
Financial information you enter
Transactions, balances, wallets, categories, budgets, goals, loans, stock entries, and business records are stored in SQLite on your device. trove does not require a server database to record or read them.
Receipt scanning and device permissions
Camera or selected-image access is used only when you scan or import an image. Bundled ML Kit text recognition and local parsing prepare an editable draft. Check the total, date, merchant, and category before saving. Scans may be incomplete or incorrect.
Technical and usage information
Firebase Analytics may collect app interactions, app and device information, identifiers, and other technical metadata according to the Firebase SDK and its configuration. Analytics uses Google's service directly; it does not pass through Trove API. Custom events accept only predefined, non-financial values. They exclude amounts, balances, transaction details, account data, receipt text, and photos.
02
How information is used
Local records power your reports, reminders, insights, widgets, and other finance features. Local processing does not require login or a paid plan.
Analytics helps us understand app use and improve the app. Direct exchange-rate requests fetch rates for currency codes used in your app, with a local cache when available. The rate provider receives normal network information such as your IP address, but trove does not send your transactions or balances with that request.
03
Storage and backups
Your financial database is kept in the app's device storage. The standalone app does not upload records, synchronize across devices, create server backups, or restore a Trove cloud account.
You can export and import a local JSON backup. Exporting opens the device's file or share tools; the destination and any cloud upload are your choice and subject to that service's policy. Operating-system backup and device-transfer settings may also affect app data. Removing the app or losing the device may lose records if you have no usable backup.
Upgrading preserves financial records already stored on this device, including records from an older signed-in installation. Data that exists only on a previous Trove server is not automatically downloaded. This update does not delete previous server records, stop old server jobs, or cancel existing store renewals.
05
Your rights
You can view, edit, export, and remove financial records using the app's local tools. No account is needed. Deleting local data does not automatically delete exported files, operating-system backups, analytics already collected, or records retained by an older server-based version.
For a privacy question or a request about previously collected information, contact support@keepin.id. Device permissions and external-service settings may provide additional controls.
06
Security
The local database uses the app's device storage and the operating system's access controls. Protect your device and keep exported files in a trusted location; an export contains financial information. We do not claim that the SQLite database or exported JSON has a separate encryption layer. No system can guarantee absolute security.
07
Children
trove is not intended for children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child's information has been sent to us so we can review the concern.
08
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when app behavior changes. The date above identifies the policy bundled with this app version. The public website can be opened separately and may describe a different app version until updated.
